I realize that this post is dated but wanted to add that as a black water river diver (Cooper in Charleston) the need for a focused very bright beam is a necessity! Would like to hear or see how an Aquasun e LED compares to my UK Light cannon as I have read that the Aquasun has a non focused beam. Any thoughts?
 
i used mine the other day in Lake Travis, the Aquasun puts out a bright wide beam, the vis was pretty low it seems to me that the beam is to wide for low vis, it was hard to see, it was almost to bright and the light reflected off the silt created to much glare, i had to keep on the low setting. the divemaster i dove with had a can light with a concentrated beam you could see much better with that light, all in all i feel concentrated beam is more effective in low vis
