Has anyone used the UFL-1 flash set up with the SP-350? Just ordered it for my 350.

Any comments would be great.

Thanks,
Fins

I was thinking of ordering this flash for my SP-350. How do you like it so far?

I like ttl feature. The only thing I do not like is that it did come with an arm to fit on the housing. You have to order it seperatly. For the price of the flash it should come with it.

Here is a sample of the UFL-1 with the SP-320. Same model as your camera except you get 8 megapixel.

My only complain is it doesn't have more flexible brightness adjustment. All it has is "half" and "full"

But overall, a very good strobe for the money. I'll probably get the Sea & Sea once I sell my SL961D and then I'll have a dual strobe system.

The ttl feature was what I was hoping for. The information on the Olympus website was clear that the flash would be ttl with the SP550 but it wasn't clear that it would work with the SP350. It also wasn't clear to me that it would provide ttl with a camera without a hot-shoe (or is this a slave only strobe?).
At present, I'm using my old SL960 strobe which works either in slave mode (manual setting) or with the synch cord (brought separately). It works okay but the synchronization is sometimes less than ideal and I have to use a separate aiming light for night dives. I'd like to have full ttl capability but don't have the available cash to shell out $300+ for the adaptor on top of paying $400+ for a YS strobe or double that for an Inon strobe.

Hey all,

I've got an SP-350 with a PT-030 housing. Does anyone know if this housing is compatible with the UFL-1 Strobe? I could find anything that said it was or wasn't.

Also, can you briefly explain "slave flash" and "TTL", it says that I won't need any cables but i'm not sure how it knows when to flash the strobe.

Obviously I'm a "photo-rookie" so thanks for your patience and help in advance.

Slave means it fires when your built in flash fires. TTL means it mimics the through the lens flash metering of the built in flash.

I have a Olympus C-750 with housing, am having trouble getting the camera to sync with the UFL-1 strope, Any suggestions at to what setting to use.
Thank You
