I am spending a week in Duck this summer and wanted to plan some dives.
Looking at OBX site the U-85 and Advance look interesting.
Has any one been on these latley?
Or would you recommend others?
I was going to book on the GO-BETWEEN anyone have any experience w/ this boat?

Also, Has anyone been on the Triangle wrecks? Are they worth doing?
Can you scooter to them???

Thanks in advance
Dan

Hi Dan, I have not been out on the 'Go-Between' so I can't speak on them. As for the triangle wrecks, here goes a link to some photos taken by another member of our board (NC wreck divers). You could certainly scooter to them (about 100 yards from shore).
All my NC diving is done out of Beaufort/Morehead myself. Enjoy your stay.

Thanks JasonB,
Those are great pics for 100yds off the beach.
Did the photographer recover that shiney object (a bell maybe)?

I guess this part of NC may also be covered by the mid atlantic folks, as It is pretty close to VA beach.
Thanks for the link to your club site. I may spend some time lurking there as well.

Thats funny,
We were kind of thinking alike " a bell"

The "Tri-Wrecks" in Nags head are a good dive. It's about 100 yards offshore as they said. You can swim it w/o a scooter (as long as current doesn't screw with you.) I think most of it isn't that deep. Maybe it was 35 feet.

Its maybe directly offshore of a I think a yellow beach house just south of the 2nd street beach access. I'd check with the local shops though for better directions, especially if they've painted that beach house since I last dove it years ag!
