Type "H" xD Memory

I just received my type "H" xD memory card and played with it for the first time. While DPreview says it is 2-3 times faster according to the Olympus press release, I didn't get quite such glowing results. However, in RAW setting on my SP, I went from 11.5sec. from click to next picture (including focus and preflash time) down to 8 seconds for the same function. No miracles, but 3.5 seconds is substantial improvement when you're hoping your subject doesn't run away before the next shot. I got mine at Fry's Outpost.com for $49.95. Similar deals on ebay.

After diving with it, a few seconds made an amazing difference. I never once had to wait for a shot while the camera said busy. By the time I turned around, got situated, reset my strobe arm it was ready to shoot. Ran out of card in a half hour dive. Click, Click, Click.
