Hi to all,
this summer I have the opportunity to make video to some whales and a manta in Calabria, Italy (Mediterranean Sea).
I used the Panasonic Lx5 in 10Bar Housing.

I too have been fortunate that I had the opportunity to see and record this beautiful creatures.
Recorded in Maldives (jun.2009), while snorkeling and freediving around the house reef. Unfortunately everything was so quick, that I forget to select the underwater mode on my naked (without UW housing) Panasonic FT1 (TS1) camera:

Wow, beautifull video Primus.
It is not easy to make video at snorkelling.
Mantas are FANTASTIC, so elegant, i love them.
:D

Hi Shaker,
yes I was very lucky to see and to make video to mantas and whales in Mediterranean sea.
I made 10 dives in Calabria, the best one was in Scilla.
I used for the most the Inon Macro lens UCL 165.
I made only a few pictures to try the WA wet lens, but these pictures are not so good.
I have to make a lot of practice.
The Inon WA lens needs two strobe (I had only one Inon D2000).
I try to attach a picture here.

hi Scipionems,
Thanks for posting this photo. The new Inon WA lens doesn't vignette with the 10Bar Housing!!. What to you thing about the lens sharpness?
Regarding the flash coverage with wide angle, i also began with a D-2000 and later added an S-2000, but i don't be leave a second strobe will make a big difference, the WA coverage gives a different feeling and one tends to over-estimate the reach of the strobes and forget to go closer to the subject.

You are right.
The most important thing is to go closer to the subject.
It is also fundamental to use the ambient light, but when you go deeper (40-50 meters) a second strobe is necessary in my opinion.
This summer I had only one Inon D2000, next time I will bring with me the second one :D
The inon lens is very very sharp, the image quality is very very good.
But I have to learn how to use it correctly :(
The inon WA lens doesn't vignette absolutely with the Nauticam housing, with 10Bar housing i noticed two very little dark angle in the upper corner of the picture, but probably it depends by the fact that i put always a silica gel inside the 10Bar housing and probably the Lx5 was not correctly positioned inside the housing.
I am very happy with this Inon WA wet lens, I used it even out of water, with the same sharpness and with a wider angle - 160° approximately - (but in this case I have to zoom in 1/4 to avoid vignetting).
