That's from June 1st, I think. Still very unusual, though.

yes it is from june it just came up on my news info from comcast the other day with a bunch of other ocean related stuff. I guess thats all they find from the cookies they dump on me.

want to see real ones.. Go to Ordione state park in NH or Woods Hole aquarium. both have rare multi-colored lobsters. Blue and Red hermaphidites. (1 side being a male and other side being a FM) I guess the female gets cranky 1/2 the time?

The Woods Hole aquarium is a nice little place w/ shellfish, NA fish species and unusual lobsters. It's free as long as you show an ID and, if you time it right, you can see the handlers feed the harbor seals out front. However, I can't comment on the cranky hermaphrodites.

What kind of ID ? Is it good for kids?

No special IDs required, just whatever you have on you that has your picture on it...like a driver's license, college ID, military ID, etc. Of course, kids don't have to show one. It is great for younger kids because it's small, easy to walk around and most of the tanks/exhibits are real close to where the public goes. They often have skate egg cases hanging from a wire inside a tank that are backlit so you can see the immature skate embryos moving around inside. Don't go down there just for the aquarium, but if you are already in Woods Hole it's a nice little place.
