A diver in his 30s was rescued in cardiac arrest and transferred to Changwon Hospital to investigate the cause of 2 deaths, 1 critically ill coast guard, oxygen supply, etc

Three divers in their 30s were rescued unconscious while cleaning the floor of a large ship anchored at the container pier of Busan New Port, but two died and one is in critical condition.

According to the Korea Coast Guard on the 20th, three divers were reported to have been involved in an accident at 11:43 a.m. on the sea in Jinhae-gu, Changwon-si, Gyeongsangnam-do. The report was first reported to the fire authorities, and the report was delivered to the Coast Guard via 119.

When the Changwon Coast Guard dispatched the coastal control of the new port police station to the container dock at Busan New Port, the site of the accident, officials had already rescued three divers from cardiac arrest.

Three divers who were rescued unconscious were transferred to a Changwon-based hospital at 12 p.m. after receiving emergency treatment such as CPR from 119 rescue teams, but two were pronounced dead, and one is in critical condition.

According to the Changwon Coast Guard, three divers were deployed at 8:12 a.m. to remove the barnacles attached to the stern floor of the 50,000-ton converter ship that entered the container pier at Busan New Port.

The three Korean divers are known to belong to a diving company that received services from a container ship owner.

The Coast Guard has secured nearby CCTVs and is investigating witnesses for the accident after an accident occurred at the port of Busan New Port and a container ship.

The Coast Guard is looking into whether the air injection system, such as oxygen supply, worked properly as three divers who were involved in cleaning the floor of the ship were involved in the accident at the same time.
