Keeping my fingers crossed that when I finally get my u/w housing that my pics will turn out this nice and clear :)

I just got my photos I took Sunday at Twin Lakes developed. As I only have an MX-5 I was not expecting great results. And I was correct.
However, taking the camera out of the equation; how did you get so close to the fish? They high-tailed it each time I tried to get close.

Patience played a big part. The fish aren't used to divers yet and are very skittish, as you found out. But they are also very curious. If you'll stop and stay in one place, breathing very slowly, they'll come to see what you're are.

That....and the zoom lens on my camera! :thumb:

Tomorrow I'm starting the Vienna Sausage fish taming program  Bring your camera and we'll see if both of us can do better.

So tell me... what kind of fish is that last one?

Those are GREAT freshwater pics, Dee. Wonderful vis!!!

That sausage idea sounds great. If I can get out of my meeting in time, I will be there today. (With my little toy camera)

I need to brush up on my freshwater fish ID but I *think* that last one is a Juv. Blue Gill!

Dee,

Nice photos. Looks like Twin Lakes is staring toseetle out.

Hope to see you and Doug this weekend.

You sounded kind of sarcastic about your MX5 camera, I have been looking at buying one with the strobe. Should I look at buying something else?

<heheheh> Ok, so I guess I was being a little too smart-alecky for my own good. :small:

What I meant was "who is the lady with the blue mask & snorkel"?

BTW, Pearce's Ikelite strobe just got back. He used the S&S DX 90 in Bonaire & didn't like it at all. Hopefully they have worked out the bugs in the Ikelite so he can go back to TTL. He seems happier with that...

L8TR!
