don't know....do you mean the tusa expert zoom - split fin? If so, I own those and love em! They are incredibly comfortable and seem to give me great propulsion with minimal effort!

Do a search (above) ..type in velocity duo fins.......

EDIT....I have more time now...I ordered a pair of Velocity Duo & like them......very comfortable to me & have used them for a couple of dives in a 2-3 knot current offshore at the Flower Gardens.......

I have Aeris Velocity fins and do alot of surface swimming and love them. I generally kick out faster than most divers - although I don't know if that is a function of the fin or more a individual quality.

I believe you will find a true split fin to give you better speed than the velocity. If that was not the case, Oceanic / Aeris would not have also paid to get the natures wing technology to bring out their splits as well. I've got some of the Oceanic V16 heading in - checked them out the other day - and they are pretty sweet. The Zooms are definately nice - and about the same as that new Mares Raptor

So now the question is still which fin? I'd say the zoom or Raptor if you want to be in the low 100 + range. Velocity if you want to get out cheaper, Apollo or the new oceanic if you want to be in the 150 - 170 range. And in my opinion, you get what you pay for in performance as you work up in price.

When my wife and I got our Velocities in 2004 (open heel) they were hot with some nice scuba-Lab reports.

150 skin dives and nearly 300 scuba dives latter they are going strong and I really like the way they work for both skin and scuba diving. I have tried SP jets for a dive and I could learn to like those too especially for things like the frog kick. You can do the frog kick with Velocities, watching a photographer at Weekie Wachee last winter convinced me of that. I liked them enough to buy a second, larger pair to go with my drysuit. My wife still enjoys hers as well.

I know them and like them, I'll be very inclined to just repurchase when the time comes. Jets would be my only other consideration.

I have tried Atomic splits and they felt like a bag of worms.

Probably a little of both. I do know that with my Velocities I have no problem keeping up with or leading a number of capable Jet users and I do consider that a power fin.

i have the tusa expert zooms. just got them from scuba.com after the sale. my other fins were inexpensive types as i never saw the point of expensive fins. I have changed my point of view. the expert zoom is great, although with the angle i do have a hard time doing a backward frog kick. in fact, i don't know if it is possible. I do it easily with standard fins, but find it hard with the expert zooms. i go backwards, but when repositioning for the next stroke i go forward.
