Considering a stay at this dive resort in the Philippines. Anyone have experience staying there? Thanks for any info. I’ve been to Atlantis and I know to a great extent you get what you pay for. I realize it won’t be as fancy but I’m looking for a “best bang for your buck” kind of place.

I stayed there in January and really liked it. The food has much improved since my last visit, with a really nice breakfast buffet with fresh croissants, fruit salad, yogurt , muesli, pancakes etc etc. The grounds were very well kept, I had one of the new rooms facing the sea, well worth the small extra cost. I just went to Moalboal to break up the journey to Malapascua, to dive Oslob, see the sardines and to dive Pescador, all of which I loved. There is also an excellent night dive with mandarin fish off the pier. Plenty of turtles and as always in the Philippines excellent macro.

Nice, thanks for the info. I was originally thinking about a 2 week stay. Now I’m kinda leaning towards a week combined with something else. Doing some research on the Philippines Dive Safari which hits a number of highlights out there. They have one that starts in Sipalay and debarks in Moalboal which would be perfect for getting off the boat and just heading to Turtle Bay. It would also break up the 2 week adventure. Couple questions… did you get the full board option or did you do bed and breakfast and eat out in town later in the day? Also, I see 2 morning boat dives are part of the package. Did you do afternoon house reef shore diving or did you opt for adding an afternoon boat dive to each day?

Two weeks there would be overkill. It combines well with Malapascua, I did four and ten which was perfect for me. I never do full board, just B and B and then lunch or dinner.“ I didn’t do afternoon dives, but the night dive on the house reef was fabulous, a big turtle, masses of crabs, nudis and a harlequin shrimp. My hubby and I intend doing the safari at some point, a friend of ours did it and loved it, it goes to the best dive sites in the Visayas.
