Enjoy the discussions here and all the wisdom available... (?) and welcome to the beautiful world of diving. Have a great time and dive safe!!

Welcome to ScubaBoard! :happywave

Hey, we're practically neighbors! I'm in Montrose all the time. Have fun getting your cert.

Now that your cloaking device is turned off and once you're certified, you can come out and dive with all of us from ScubaBoard. Even before you're certified you could come out this weekend and hang out at the Wrinkles Dive and BBQ in Laguna Beach this Sunday. You'd meet a bunch of people that you could dive with soon. There is more info on that in the SoCal section of the California Kelp Divers forum. Just look for the "sticky" thread at the top of the forum called Wrinkles November Dive 11-21.

Don't forget to fill out your profile and dive info, so that we can add context to your future posts. Also, once we know where you are geographically from your profile, you may find that you'll have a whole bunch of new dive buddies to choose from locally.

Dive safe!

Christian

P.S. Due to the high volume of new posts in the Introductions and Greets forum, it's not always possible to keep up with all the new posts here. So, please help me out and send me a PM if you post anything you want me to read or respond to in this forum.

No experience needed and it feels great!

Thanks for the warm welcome folks, I'll be seeing you down at Wrinkles get together next Sunday.

Looking forward to hooking up with you all for some diving fun in the near future!

Hey Kikaida, and welcome to scubaboard!

Congratulations on getting your gear together and getting certified! I'm just putting together my first gear setup myself. I'm sure you've found the equipment forums. There's a ton of info there for the scuba shopper ;)

Again, welcome to the uncloaked part of scubaboard! Hope to see you posting a lot :)

Welcome to our world. We look forward to seeing you Sunday at the Wrinkles dive. In additon to the SoCal forum in the club section you might also visit http://www.sandeaters.org. Not a dive club, no dues or officers or membership. Just a website with a schedule of dives for the year and an e-mail list if you care to be on it where you or others can send out e-mail to the list and say "Want to dive "x" day and time and location?"

WELCOME to ScubaBoard!!!!
You've got a great start here.
Congratulations on taking the decision to get
hooked on the greatest addiction in the world!
I hope to see your posts often as I wander
around bumping into things.

Now for my stock message, which is still under construction: I really do have to work on modifying this note!!!
This is a great place to meet people, talk about diving, and get information on just about any aspect of diving -or other subjects sometimes- that you can think of. Roaming through the forums is great help for me.
Now get wet with us and dive into the forums to ask questions, answer those that you can and even chat with folks about diving dreams and nightmares. ScubaBoard is a great place to spend your required Surface Intervals.
When you post a question, be as sure as you can that it's in the right forum or you'll probably find it moved.
The folks here are passionate about their diving, some about their specialty, so the reading can get very interesting, sometimes very hot.
Don't forget, if you haven't already done it, to fill out you profile as completely as reasonable, it'll save you being asked and having to repeat the information often.
Enjoy!

Tom
