Hi All,

I am planning a weeklong solo trip to Tulamben Bali in 2025, and would like to know if there are any recommendations for dive resorts with great in-house dive centers? I am a uw photography newbie, and would like to find a resort with a professional dive center so i can maximise my trip! I've heard great things about Kubu Indah and Villa Markisa but would also see if there are other recommendations out there :) Mostly interested in macro and have dived the liberty wreck previously so i'll probably skip the crowd this time. Thank you!

I stayed at Mimpi in April. Did not dive with the on premises operator but found the hotel very nice and reasonably priced
I only arrived back from there a few days ago, 9 days there and 7 days diving, 14 dives Tulamben and Armed, the accommodation was every good at MimpiResort, I used a small local owned and run dive operation, not the one at the resort , I'll DM the OP the details.

Liberty is great, off there for third year in a row in May for three weeks
I was there in May also, I did more dives in Amed that trip.

I have done Liberty by myself and also with my husband. It’s absolutely wonderful with great views of the volcano. You get your own vehicle, driver and guide. All of the guides are excellent, many are photographers themselves. Made Saur has always been our guide and he is just the best, concentrating every second he is underwater. Last year we tried Amed, which is a nice enough place to stay, but the quality of the guiding with a freelance guide was poor. Amed, we were told has more and more DSDs and OW and AOW students, so guides aren’t wars of all the cool stuff.
