They are pretty obvious on the feather hydroids. I'd say about 10mm long. So not tiny but definitely on the smaller side of things.
Pity you never saw them. They are really beautiful critters.
Melasti is definitely a productive dive site. When you stay at Scuba Seraya it basically becomes your go to dive site.

I really enjoyed the dives there. We did day trips from sanur using twofish again so could get a feel for each of the areas - tulumben, Amed and Padang bai. The only thing you miss is local guide knowledge of what's current which u normally get from resorts. That said i found lots of new things to shoot and melasti was definitely my fave site! Will do a trip report when I get back.

Great shot yes always lovely to have this from a resort.

Yeah it was quite a lot of travel but we didn't know if we wanted a week in tulamben or Amed or Padang bai and we wanted to do a couple days at penida, plus we get on well with the managers who moved from Lembeh to sanur. Travel varies between 45mins to 2.5hrs each way. But to be honest I usually just slept! But you are right it's better to be in the area and wake up at a reasonable time as well!!
