OKay...this looks like something that might help me out. I am getting started as of today. I am at 345. I need to drop a LOT of weight. Hopefully this will help me achieve my goals. Let the count down begin.

Becky, stay on me about this. Dont let me off the hook for any reason.

I am down a half a pound. Slow moving I know, but I did work out more doing some cardio/strength and the water aerobics. I also endulged in a few more goodies. Something about summer and grilling out makes me want to have happy hour on the deck while we grill dinner. I really need to watch that.

As for this week I am exercising still and getting ready for my dive trip this weekend to WPB. I will be dive, dive, diving Saturday and Sunday. I should burn off some calories there.

I will check back next Tues. with a report.

diverbob, good to have you on board (sorry for the pun)! I'm in the same boat, and I think that you'll find this group to be friendly and encouraging. I started at 368 (sick, huh - and I had originally thought that I started at 350) in the beginning of April and have gotten into the lower 340's. We'll see tomorrow if I broke 340. Remember, if it took some time to get to where you are now, it'll take some time to get to where you want to be. It will take some hard work, but in the end, it's all going to be worth it. Good Luck! If I can help with something that you don't want to post, please feel free to PM me.

Well, it might look like everyone else got remotivated, but I blew it this week. I'm up 1.4 #'s, but it's not a big surprise. I've been snacking a lot more without tracking things, and snacking on things I shouldn't, so I suspected it would happen. I've made some plans, though, and went shopping so I have better things more readily available, so I'm ready to pass this setback.

Dee!!!!

7 pounds wow. I need your help. Will you post what you ate all week and how much you exercised to achieve this?
The most I have ever lost in one week in 2 lbs.

OK ... bad week, up 2 pounds! However i had let the exercising drop off and ate too much at a couple of BBQ's. Back into the exercise today and starting a fresh week.

The most I have ever lost in one week in 2 lbs.

I either cooked each meal or we had salads or WW dinners. Although I skipped breakfast a couple days, the others I had my regular scrambled egg-beater and Jimmy Dean maple sausage pattie sandwich = 6pts. I kept low points soup in the fridge this week and always had 2 cups of soup with 1 grilled chicken thigh added = 5-6pts. I ate light at night, mainly because I'm getting to the point of not liking heavy meals at night. I either ate more soup with a salad or I had one of the many WW Smart One's dinners = 5-8pts. I usually had yogurt before going to bed. I made sure I got my balance of fruits, veggies and milk either through the food or in juice and yogurt. Some of the new V-8 juices are great!

The last couple of weeks I had been trying to eat all my points every day, like we are told to do, and I gained. So I went back to the 22-26 pts I feel comfortable with. I didn't have to force myself to eat just to get all the points.

And you're gonna hate this but I didn't excercise at all! I haven't left the sewing machine or computer all week, didn't even dive last weekend. To be honest, any excercise I get is spotty at best. I'll walk on the treadmill a couple times a week and I haven't been in the gym in a couple of months, although that's something I plan to do again, but I do normally do 3-4 long dives every weekend....weather permitting.

Well, having three days of swim meets with the kids (and the non-diet-friendly food that tends to go along) this past week probably didn't help, but the scale said +4#. I hope some of that is just the difference between "morning" weight last week and "night" weight this week, but next week will tell.

Rab....I can have a swing of 5-6# between morning and night time weigh ins. I always take my morning weight as the 'official' one. Guess which is lowest! :D

Rab
been there done that with swim meets, 14 years worth. Totaly understand trying to eat heathy it never happens, fast food just seems to happen. Funny thing is my kids always did better on french fries and chicken mcnuggets than the "healthy" foods go figuer.
