$1200? That's not bad. I paid $1000 back in 95 on the Tristar for 4 full days diving. Well worth it.

10 days??? thats unheard off:) good luck larry

by the way i know of a operator who chargers $900 to palau:)

Back in 1997 I did Palau on the Aggressor II, about $2,250 if memory serves me right, plus flights etc. Best money I ever spent, even if that Christmas was a bit lean...:D

Considering doing it again late next year - 2006 is going to be a big diving year for me with any luck!

Cheers,

Yeah, the dollar exchange rate is just . . . GRRR.

I'd have to settle for Puerto Galera or Cebu trips instead. :)
look at the bright side though... there's hope we can score it bigtime if they start having liveaboards in bangladesh...

I have a good friend in Iloilo who has done Tuba" on his own bangka or rented ones. It's a bit rougher than the air conditioning, padded mattress, served meals, no compressor noise, gear handled pampering of the Tristar, but the diving is the same for much cheaper. You have to pick the weather though. He does Cagayoncillo pretty regularly. Do it like a true Pinoy instead of a pampered Kano. :D

May. Boy tells me we're doing Cagayoncillo for sure. He's got a small Bauer compressor. It's about 20 min to fill one tank. Camp on the beach in a tent. We'll see about the weather for Tuba. I'll let you know. Hank

You bet,

Have you guys checked out scubaworld? I think they might have 4 - 5 boats down this season.
