Im taking my Canon A85 and housing to a quarry today. I know its just a quarry but I'll get to play with it underwater! Anyone have any tips before I go?

I uploaded 3 pics from yesterday. They are in my gallery. Visibility wasn't very good, maybe 20 - 30 feet. Lots of particulate in the water. I only used the internal flash, but we plan to get a strobe soon. They aren't great pictures but I'm happy with them. Being my first time and not knowing anything about UW photography.........................yet!

Thanks for the pictures. What kind of housing are you using for your A85?

Thanks, and I think they look pretty darn good for your first time and in a quarry. Mine should be here Monday and then it's off to Florida to try it out.

The housing is a Canon WP-DC30. Got it online for around $170.

Looks like a good first time out!

If you resize your images for posting to 640 longest side most won't need to scroll to see the whole image. (I use 540 longest side for verticals).

I'd flip that catfish vertical and play around with it...I think it's a nice shot :)
