Folks,

I'm an experienced diver who'd like to try out kayak diving before buying all the goodies. I'm going to be in the Miami area in mid-January (maybe the 10th) and was wondering if any outfit does kayak diving or if there are other ways to give it a try.

Thanks for the help!

Patty

There are no "outfits" that do it, and I don't think there is any kayak diving off Miami, but you could contact Kayuba and see if any of the members would dive with you off Fort Lauderdale.

Kayak Jeff actually rents them now. Here is his website: Kayak Jeff

Dan, he is out of business. I live a few blocks from his shop. It is bare to the walls and his home page is down. http://www.kayakjeff.com

I hope he will reinvent himself. There are a few mobile kayak rental/guide services in town; I don't know if there's room for another. I really liked him, bought a lot of stuff there.

Wow that sucks. I checked the website before I posted the link and it worked. Actually the one I posted still works. It even advertises a "boat show special" How long has he been out of business? I bought a lot of stuff there as well.

That deeply buried link works but his home page is not accessible. I first heard of the shop's demise about a week ago, it was on the Kayak meetup. They said his phone is disconnected as well.
