Hello Everyone,

I am looking at the purchase of a Canon G9 in the near future. I see all sorts of great deals on-line, however when I start digging into the records of these different sites, I am finding horror stories that go on for pages. I am seeing everything from confirmation emails asking for a phone calls that lead to high pressure sales of unneeded accessories to delayed delivery times, the list goes on and on. Does anyone have any personal experience with a reputable on-line dealer that offers fair and reliable prices? Thanks for any input anyone has to offer.

These are both reputable businesses with great prices on camera gear. I have bought from both of them, as have many others on the Scubaboard, and have been pleased with the service:

B&H Photo Video | Digital Cameras, Camcorders

Digital cameras, all other cameras and everything photographic from Adorama Camera

I second either of these two sites. I've purchased thousands of dollars of cameras, lenses, etc, from B & H and have never had a problem. No wonder I can't afford that drysuit.

Another vote for B&H Photo or Adorama.

Just an FYI, B&H is closed for Passover. They won't ship orders until Passover ends on Aptil 27th --and (at least on my computer) the notice that usually pops up to explain that is not working properly.

good point, Jeff. Whenever they are closed for orders a note should appear on the site. You can still browse and put things in your cart, but you can't proceed with the orders until they reopen. They are also closed every Friday-Saturday, I think it is.
