I was also there for the 50th anniversary. Unfortunately there was little done to commemorate the event. We also went to Guadalcanal for the 50th anniversary of the start of the battle, that was a brilliant time, lots of old marines there to talk to as well as a cameraman who showed the footage he shot and spoke about it.Great images! We were there at the 50th anniversary. It was quite an experience. When I get back up north, I'll have to dig out my slides from the trip. Did you get any shots of the anemones blanketing parts of the ships?
