I'm having trouble finding the right fins with DUI rock boots. I wear women shoe size 8.5 for regular shoes. My drysuit came with DUI rock boots in size 7 (boots sizes are all men's).
I'm looking for a pair of GUE compliant fins for drysuit diving, so it's preferable for them to be on the heavier side.
Here's what I've tried. I can't slide my boots into size M Scubapro Jet fins or size M OMS Splitstream. The boots just get stuck halfway. I'm guessing it's because of the shape of the toe box, which is both a bit wide and tall. My boots can fit into the Size M Apeks RK3 (and RK3 HD) but then half of the boots hang in the back, and I get chaffing from the fin strap. I suppose I can move to a large RK3 HD -- would that be too heavy on my feet? I also don't want to get cramps lol. Alternatively, I could try a different style of boots? The thickest socks I wear are the weezle extreme undersuit boots.
Does anyone have any other suggestions? Thanks in advance!
