I have dove my BC 3 times so far, and was wondering if any others have problems with the plastic support material inside the harness near the top of the harness? I have yet to pull everything apart but the damn thing digs into the back of my head when I try to look up. I am thinking about cutting that section out as I believe it is just in the harness for added support. Does anyone know if you can get in to the harness to remove it? I am think I may have to take it to a seamstress to have it opened up and either cut out, removed, and sewn back. Any help or thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

I can relate to your problem, fortunately, I've found the Orion to be very, very adjustable. Consider dropping the rear of the bc lower on your back, instead of pulling the shoulder straps over your shoulders as far as they will go.

Once you do this, you'll likely find the cumberbund sits lower on your waist. If so, take off the side pockets, and weight pockets if need be, to expose the velcro/buckle section of the cumberbund. I detached mine, and positioned the cumberbund panels HIGHER on the BC so that I could drop the relative postion of the rest of the BC.

Sorry if all that sounds confusing, It'll make more sense if you take your BC apart and put it back together. If you see velcro or a webbing/buckle, it's probably adjustable on the orions.

Will do. Took it apart already but cannot get it to sit lower. I have pretty big shoulders (broad) but am 5'9. maybe a larger harness would work but I have no interest in shelling out another $200 for a bc. I do have an extra single bladder that is new but they only carry med and XXlarge harnesses now. BTW, sold my orion to pick up a dive rite transpac and trek wing set. can't wait to get it in the water:)
