Trip Report : Mayan Divers (West Bay)

This was our (Rob and Andrea) first trip to Roatan and Mayan Divers exceeded all expectation. A special thank-you to Anja and Liber (owners) and their staff for the exceptional service during our two week dive vacation (always looked after any needs we had). Our equipment was well looked after everyday, rinse tank and secure hanging locker.

During the two weeks and 19 dives the DM's always tried to make sure we dove a different dive site, and we did (well done!). The dive groups usually consisted of approx 12 people and two DM(two groups of 6). Diving in Roatan lives up to every report I have ever read about how great the diving is, and what you see. (turtles, morray eels, loinfish, huge groupers, and YES our first "sea horse".

O ya Mayan Princes resort is awsome too, very relaxing, will be giong back for sure.

Can't wait to be back diving hopefully in April, see you soon.

Looks like they got their new boat finally. Very nice.

Also looks like business has picked up. Biggest groups we dived with was 7-8 divers.

Yeap ... we did have an awesome week.

We had everything going for for us ... weather was nice, diving was great, viz was good .... too bad you missed the nite dive, It was amazing !!!

Too bad the Saints won !!!!

I don't have anymore pictures posted right now I will see what I can do, but you will enjoy yourself very much. Food was great and the grounds are amazing and condos were very nice. Smaller groups are what we wanted and that is what we got also, diving everyday with the owners of the Mayan Divers showed us a real pride of ownership and ensured that our diving with them was excellent.
