Trip Report Lembeh Straits-Bangka-Raja Ampat 11-09

Scott, thanks for your great report - we must have just missed you - we arrived at LR on Monday, Nov. 16 and spent 12 days there between the Resort and Buyat. Your report would almost mimic ours = saw the same creatures and had same feelings. I will write you a personal email on Buyat as I recall telling you months ago we were going and would report afterwards. Can't wait for your RA report - probably next on our list. Herg and Kerri are great - huh?!!

Hey Anita,

Please do a report on Buyant Bay.....Next year I am trying to decide whether to go to Buyant or back to Bangka....I thought Bangka was excellent diving.

North Sulawesi is awesome! Lembeh, Bangka, Bunaken and now Buyat, all within 3 hours or less from the airport! Assuming there are no upturned trucks!

Yep overall Indo has a lot more variety....but comparing Palau to Raja is a little bit like comparing apples to oranges....Palau has great vis, lots of Sharks but not the abundance of corals and critters you will see in Indo....Last year was some of the finest diving I have ever done in Palau and will be back there in about a month
