Just made it back from Grand Cayman... logged 16 dives and had a great time, despite Continental mismarking my son's dive bag and receiving it 3 days late. Stayed at London House which is located on upper end of 7 mile beach, about a mile south of the cemetary beach area. Very nice and quiet accomodations with a GREAT beach! Had 5 divers in party including a JOW and a brand new OW diver... West side is shallow and just lots of fun...

Eden's Rock - awesome shore diving, simple, swimthroughs, coral, etc... the silver fins are in and it was amazing...
Devils Grotto at Edens Rock - same as above, great diving (probably my favorite shore dive)
Sunset House - a lot of fun, dived mermaid and a small wreck, nurse sharks, rays, coral... Mike was great to work with and quality rental gear for my JOW...
DiveTech - good dive site, cool mini-wall. They were busy with the kids camp and didn't have any gear that was small enough for the JOW. DM put him in a set up that I should have said no too. BC too big, swallowed him up, rubbed up against weight belt (which was too small and worn out) and he lost his belt at 40 feet. He swam down to me at 47 feet. Belt at 50 feet on the bottom. Put it back on and we ended the dive. Poor choice by the DM but my responsibility and I am just as much to blame - if not more. Additionally, son learned a lesson to say no because it is ultimately his responsibility to take care of himself. He said he didn't feel comfortable before the dive, now he understands... Other than that, great facility, staff, and dive site. Kids camp looked like a ton of fun!
Sunset Divers at Cracked Conch Point - cool mini-wall and sand chutes. Lot's of fish. Little bit of a current but definitely manageable. Good site.
Ambassador Divers - boat - Did 4 tanks with them. Dived on the Doc Paulson wreck (which was awesome for simple penetration - all cleared out) and some shallow west side reefs (Governor's reef was one). Also dove Stingray City - watch out for those yellow snappers, took a little chunk out of my thumb! :) Jason did a good job, picked us up at condo, flexible, good 6 pack operation.

Overall, a great trip... only bad part was dealing with some of the taxi drivers. Other than that, fantastic and I will definitely go back... Hope this helps.

Jim
