So they are called watusas

Or, also on the Island, known locally as Aguiti, some critter in the Rabbit family.

They feed or bait them with coconut, hunting them with .22's and such. Not as easy of a kill as one might suspect- they are extremely wary.

And in a stew, they taste pretty good.
 
I believe that, in other parts of the Caribbean, they are known as Cer-A-Kay (rolled "R"). Sorry, I don't know the correct spelling.

But yes, I've heard them referred to as Aguiti or Watusas in Roatan. They do LOVE coconut! I was feeding them on the beach:D
A horseback guide was telling me that they are a tasty critter.
