This was one of the best trips I've been on . I am aware of the bad trip they had in August and feel for those customers who where involved.
We had the best weather possible just after hurricane Isacc passed through the area . I understand the previous week sat at the dock a few extra days due to weather. Bummer . I can assure all of you that the previous problems with lack of nitrox, head issues etc have all been resolved. The diving was great the new crew was very helpful and informative and we would return to this charter in the future. As a side note one of the previous threads mentioned that they arrived at the airport and there was no greeting committee to help them to the boat or hotels . FYI. The planning guide provided by dancer specifically states this and gives directions to th vessel. As our previous collegue mentions once at the airport without this info you may not be able to call someone to help.
All in all another very positive trip for us on agressor dancer fleets. Happy and safe diving to all

I was also on this trip. I couldn't agree more. Everything was great. The new chef Shea cooks great food. The captain, Mario, Ernie, and Dave go out of their way to make everyone happy and comfortable. Things have turned around and the Carib Dancer has a bright future. The owners and staff deserve much credit for turning things around.

glad you had a great trip and it looks like since Wayne was on the boat after the
August trip things have improved but I think the response to my friends, who were on the boat in August, received from the Aggressor/Dancer folks was poor customer service they just threw them a bone so to speak...at the very least they should have refunded their money...just my 2 cents

Actually, they didn't throw them a bone. Apparently the $100 voucher they were offered is the same offer made to any returning diver who books within 12 months of their trip. So they basically offered them the same thing they would offer anybody who went on any of their trips. I personally judge a company not by how they act when things go right, but how they act when things go wrong...and even they admit that things went badly wrong on that August trip. But they don't feel the need to do anything to make it up to those divers.

Trip reports and feedback are always good to have but does anyone else get a gut feeling that there's something afoot here? The Caribe Dancer gets absolutely, and rightly, pilloried on SB and the non-response from management is shocking to say the least. Then we get two members sign up this month who report that all the issues are dealt with and it's clear sailing for the offending vessel.

Maybe it's just my cynical side but my thoughts wander to the possibility of the Dancer crew suggesting that their customers (or someone else {cough}) come on over to spread the good word. A cheaper option than making things right with the original victims.

Had the same reaction. We all decide where to go and to whom to hand over our money based on a number of factors. One important factor for me is,
"when the going gets tough, who gets going". Big time failure here. The end.

I agree perhaps new members who make posts on such topics seem suspicious. I can assure you there is nothing under the carpet here. I felt it was just to set the record on the current state of affairs. for those who have upcoming trips they can be rest assured that the issues are resolved. Nothing to be gained by myself for reporting this but I'm sure those who have upcoming trips are relieved to hear the news. I also agree that more should have been done. That's just plain bad business.

I was on this boat July 7-14. We were 2 couples travelling together and we had a great time. I understand the week prior was bad because of chef issues. They flew in a new chef for us and she was great.
The big issue was no Nitrox, but my wife and I don't dive nitrox, so no issue for us.
But, for others on the boat, it seemed to cloud their opinion of everything else. Many complaints about what I considered extremely minor issues.
Our crew that week was great and very helpful. One diver had a bad back and they carried his rig up and down the stairs many times. Always there with towels and snacks after dives. Handled my camera equipment with care.
We did have the AC go out one night which made it a little warm. The engineer worked hard the next day to make sure all was working for the remainder of the trip. He also got the nitrox going the day we left once he had the proper part back at the dock.

So, there were a few hickups as I've experienced on other boats.
It was not the best live aboard I've ever been on, but it was nice and fun. I'd go again.
Quite frankly we chose it because it was cheap and easy to get to with many flights to Nassau.
Oh, we were greeted at the airport and helped along there.

This is my opinion of my week on the boat.
