No problem about the name spelling For where to go, it really depends on what you want to do topside, and how much time you have. A really good site for diving around that area is:
http://www.starfish.ch/index.html
Its made by a swiss woman named Theresa who is a SEA diving addict, the site is a little tricky to navigate but has a plethora of good information. From what I hear about Boracay (I never dove there) is that its got the greatest beaches, but its more resort-oriented....so I guess that might translate into steeper prices. I chose to do the Visayas because there were so many different dive destinations all within reasonable travel distances to each other. Puerto Galera is where a lot of people go too. I know that the Sulu Sea and the Tubbhata (sp?) reefs are where the best diving is but the season is short there, about 2 months out of the year, and is reachable only by liveaboard. i get seasick easily so it wasn't an option for me. I thought Alona beach on the island of Bohol was the best all around, you can fly right into Tagbilaran from most places in PI. I know the name might not sound as catchy but its great diving!
