None of the choices is suitable for me. I always use TA as a check on the places of prospective accommodation. I take what is written with a large grain of salt, looking for across-review consistencies, while disregarding outliers. It's not perfect, but it's a big help.

For what it's worth, I never use it for info related to diving quality. And, if I write a review about a dive resort, I generally do not include info about the diving.

I use tripadvisor a lot and rely on the hotel info. I look at the pictures and read the reviews of hotels that I am interested in. I also take everything with a grain of salt, even from Scubaboard:D.

Very good source. Has info on both international and domestic hotels and resort. Fairly accurate for larger hotels with many guests, but less for smaller places. I found a few "feedbacks" that sounded like the management scripted it themselves.

Trip Advisor is a dreadful site. It's unmoderated, posted to quite often by trolls, and too often used as a means of publicising lies to damage businesses. And malicious posts once made are never removed. I have been a victim of it, and even though I submitted proof to the administrators that some posts were malicious and false, nothing was done. They are there to this day. One particular hotelier here was similarly a victim of a spoof malicious post that he is quite sure was made by a competitor to try to damage his business.

Be extremely wary of anything you read on Trip Advisor. Far better to use this forum, Singledivers.com, and similar sites.
