I won't be doing any Trimix dives any time soon, but I her people say it is very expensive. So I just wanted to know how much does a trimix fill cost?

The price for a fill will depend on the size of the tank(s) you are having filled and what mix you get in the tank(s). The higher the He content, the more each fill is going to cost. I'd say on average for my doubles each fill has run between about $50 and 100.

Premixed 21/30 is about .20 a cubic foot. Other mixes will be .50 cuft for helium,.20 cuft for oxygen, plus the air fill. The best thing to do is dedicate a set of tanks for trimix and top on top of the tanks if you have some one that can haskel gas.

Typically pay .30 per cf for premixed Normoxic Trimix (21/35). They higher the helium content, the more expensive the fill. 18/45 runs me .40 per cf.; 15/55 runs .47 per cf.; and, 10/70 runs .56 per cf. With the shop I use, if I want a custom blend, Helium runs .75 per cf and O2 runs .30 per cf.

Total dollars for the fill depend on cylinder size.

I have seen cheap He fills, but the cost you pay is dependent on the grade of he you use..

I blend using UHP 5.0, from the supplier this is $220 per T cylinder (about 300 cuft), just to break even I have to charge $0.74 per cu ft..

Alot of stations use low grade He... even industrial.... just going from zero grade(the absolute lowest (which may stations arent even using this grade) that should be used for blending) to 5.0 is almost double the cost..
