I had similar problems when I had HP80s (diving a bp/w). I solved my trim problems by selling those short tanks and buying a set of LP85s - all better and I never get short fills

I have to agree with Peronne and find the tank too short and there is no way to attach a tail weight to the backplate to balance it. I don't think the OP would have those kind of problems with a HP 100.
