Joe is away for the weekend so I am sans buddy, anyone going need a buddy? I may brave the cold and rain to get wet and chilly underwater... Will be my first dive this season... I am also still a newbie.

I'm 98% certain I'm going.. Still need to clear it w/ the boss. If I go, you can certainly pair up with me and some of members of our dive club. I may not be able to stay for awards as I'll have to bolt to make my son's lacrosse game. It's my first time going to this. From what I hear, it's fun. I think you hunt for color coded nuts and bolts.. I'll be diving wet. The diving at Stage Fort Park is extremely easy entry and exit. You'll.

MSILVIA and Spectre (formerly Fonkey_Monks) took me diving for my first official dive after certification, our first official NELD dive!

I think if the weather isn't TOO bad and the seas not TOO rough I'll be there! I would also have to bolt out of there pretty early to get back to CT at a reasonable hour.

I'll pm you with my info - look forward to meeting you!

Bring your C-Card. I think they may be asking for (liability)

Stage Fort Park is protected by Gloucester Harbor so it is diveable in almost any conditions. It has a southern exposure. I wouldn't be concerned about the seas. It's a place to dive when no other sites on Cape Anne are divable. Water should also be a bit warmer.

I did it last year.

Your 'dive' is only going to be about 10 minutes max, in about 10 feet of water max. Basically you search for washers in the near zero vis with the 100 other divers. Go in, get your 10 washers, and get out. You get 1 'raffle prize' ticket per 2 washers, with a 5 raffle ticket max.

The longer thing was the freediving scavenger hunt. It was a team competition. You got certain points for small marbles, large marbles, golf balls and dive flag painted rocks. You have like an hour to do it. I was in a 3 person team, and we ended up in 4th place I think, and I was really the only person trying on the team.

So you guys should try to put together a NELD team for the freediving!

Oh, and shell... that'd be Funky Monks :)

Reefseal and I are both bailing... I got a date with the bo, he's got a family commitment...

If there is a SCUBABOARD wedding someday...
