Traverse Bay

To those brave Wrecking Crew members that were willing to brave the waters of Grand Traverse Bay in March . . . looks like it will be later this year.:depressed: The bay seems to be still frozen over.

I will keep checking and let all of you know when it opens up but I would suspect it will be after Easter before we can all get together.

That used to be a very nice wreck, but it is falling in a lot now.
I grew up in TC and first dove that wreck just a few weeks after the CG buoy layer dragged it up against that sand bank to get unhooked from it.

Back then the decking covered the wreck most of the way back and you could do a short, tight entry up into the bow.
There were usually either a sucker or a burbot up there hiding most of the time then.
Nice to see it on film.
