Travelling to the Phils - Need Advice

Hi Guys -

Although I essentially grew up in the Phils, I'm quite new to diving. I just acquired my OW certification through PADI here in NY and looking to do AOWD in Phuket in the next 2 weeks.

I'll be in Manila this January. I'm looking forward to getting some dives in - any suggestions? I heard Palawan is great, but I don't have that much time to spend since I'll only be there for about 10 days - and I'd like to see family while I'm there.

is your family in manila? there are lots of diving spots around luzon that you dont need to fly to Palawan.

Anilao, Subic and PG are the nearest places you can go to dive.

as mentioned, while in manila, just dive in PG, anilao and subic. You can just go on a day trip to these locations. Post again when you arrive, maybe we can form a group. If in anilao, best if your 4-5 people so boat expense will be minimal.
