Spooky Channel was an interesting dive... at night

Most anything is more fun at night... or in a cave. Know a dive op that would go there at night?


On the flip side, whenever i do the 4 dives a day i feel i miss out on the sightseeing.
Longer vacations seem to be the answer, either that or retiring at 30, opening up a dive op and vacationing in europe/asia/the world

You might try to find someone to take you over to Barbareta. Barbareta

Wrong time of year for Whale Sharks - and wrong island - that's Utila. We snorkeled (no diving) with 6 the end of March 2 years ago.

My friends did Spooky one morning - they all know how to dive so didn't kick it up like that video. My buddy said they enjoyed the reef at the outer end. Coconut Tree goes there - so do many others.

There's a couple of deeper wrecks (Odyssey and El Aguila) but you mentioned you're not that interested in that.

My wife and I were in Roatan in March. It was fantastic. We stayed a few days at Bananarama and Barefoot Cay. They were both great but Bananarama fits what you described. There is excellent snorkling and shore diving as well if she would be more interested in that. The great thing is you can do a dive in the moning and be back before 10am. There are great dive sites only a few minutes away from the beach. The hotel rooms aren't great but they do have a nicer area called the Island Pearl. There is also a great beach bar there.

The dive shop onsite is great. It was usually just my wife and I but on 2 dives we had 2 other people but they had their own dive master.

You can't go wrong with the place.
