traveling to ecuador

will be going to Ecuador in mid September, will be going down to the Galapagos islands. Any suggestions on dive shops or dive sites. I've done a little searching and everything I see is 3 to 5 days of diving, some type of inclusive package. im a budget traveler. Will be flying into Quito,making my way down through the country to the Galapagos. Just trying to find a dive shop with one day trips or possibly 2 days if the price is right. thanks for any input. wes

The best day five op I have seen in Puerto Ayora (access from Baltra Airport) is, by far, Scuba Iguana.

Most reliable schedules, good boats, excellent rental gear, what anybody wants...plus a very consistent product.

Any interest??? I already have cruise ticket on a nature tour in the Galapagos. I'd like to find a buddy to go on a 4 days/ 3 nights on Oct 23 - 26; than would like to extend the trip and scuba dive from a live aboard (if that's not possible) than from shore but I'll need suggestions on hotels and scuba shops.
