Hey everyone,

I just bought an Oceanic Jetpack (I know, a little gimmicky but got a great price) for travel to warm weather spots in the Caribbean. My current fins are Tusa hyflex switch pro fins, a bit big for the backpack of the Jetpack. They recommend their Oceanic Accel fins, but I’m also considering the Aqualung Storm or Tusa Travel Right fins. Anyone have experience with any of these?

But those hyflex fins split in half for travel- I don’t think you’ll find a fin that gets more compact than that
I thought about that as well, but still a bit bulky and heavy. Might be worth trying before buying something else though. Thanks.

Aqualung Storm (not the Max). They work great with surf boots, very light and I prefer them to the Scubapro Go fins.
Depending on your foot shape, may be challenging to fit. Larger sizes are proper dive fins. Small ladies sizes are a tiny snorkel fin. Very strange decision by Aqualung.

Or...

Seawing Supernova that can be dismantled into 2 parts: fin and boot if you need to pack your luggage very tight. Still heavier than the Aqualungs but otherwise a pretty good fin that can fight currents and to my surprise, no issues with frog, back kick and helicopter turns.

The only downside for me is that Scubapro did not make the Medium size foot pocket work with the bigger Maxi blade. That would have allowed me to use my beloved and very light surf boots with them on boat trips. And if I go to the smaller Mini blade, they are no longer powerful enough for me :D

If I want to use the Supernovas, I need to always carry my dive boots, which adds its toll to the overall luggage weight.

Ironic right? The "light" Scubapros that are designed for travel end up being my "drive to the dive site" fins... but they are gorgeous! :)

Never tried the Tusa Travel Right fins - their heel strap design seems a bit odd.
Aqalung Storms are cheap, colorful and very well designed fins. I would choose them again over the Tusa.

Have you actually tried to fit the Maxi Blade with Medium Foot Pocket?
I was wondering if there was an actual mechanical incompatibility or if it was just a prejudice on SP's marketing that smaller folks using small or medium foot pockets would find the Maxi blades too much (and vice versa.)

Regarding the need for boots, have you tried the full-foot pockets for bare\socked use?
Over here thay are less than half the price of the boot-fit pockets; might be worth a look.
