Kind of leaning towards the Zeagle the scout is a bare bones unit but cant seem to find it at scubatoys lp etc is there much diffrence between the scout and the Stihletto . Or does anyone have any recommendations must be back inflation and lightweight.

Scubatoys will order it for you. I have a Stiletto but the Scout is smaller. All the weight goes into rear weight pouches on the Scout.

I have a Stiletto and I am very satisfy with it.

I fold neatly into a suitcase for travelling and does the job while diving.

I bought mine for a couple of reasons ... since I'm a photographer, I wanted back inflation and rear weight pockets.

And my LDS pointed that most of the parts can be bought seperatly !!;)

I may be mistaken but I think the Scout was discontinued a couple of years ago. Pity, it's a really nice little BC. I dive one most all of the time. One of the lighter Zeagles should do.

It's prominently displayed on their web site.

I remember when they discontinued the scout; I don't know if it's currently available. I always liked for what it does not have; specifically a padded cummerbund. If you can get just a standard 2" webbing waist belt, you can use a variety of pockets for weight as needed, as well as tank weights for trim.

I can suggest the XS Scuba Companion BC. Weighs just over 5 lbs; back inflation with 30 lbs of lift; very attractive price. If you cant find a local dealer, try the XS Scuba website for a list of dealers or try Scuba.com.
