Trying to decide which to get, anyone able to weigh in with their opinions. So far I'm leaning more towards the 2013 Zuma, Though I'm a bit nervous it only has 1 tank strap.

My #2 son tried the previous Zuma last year for 2 weeks in the Maldives. No worries about the tank strap, everything stayed put and tight. Actually, all of our BCD's (mostly Scubapro's) are single strap, and we've never lost a tank.

The 2 things that bother me a bit with the Zuma are the material that seems too light, and the horseshoe design that always put more air on 1 side.

Both the son and the Zuma survived.

Thanks for the info. I've seen a few reviews of other folks saying the material for the Zuma was to light, but it looks like with the new 2013 version they updated the material to 420 denier from 200. As for the strap issue, I guess I'm used to big bulky BC's with either 2 straps or 1 strap and some sort of rubber backing to hold the tank in place. But maybe the Zuma was designed in a way to help the tank from slipping. I also like the Zuma has gromet holes for a knife, it looks like the Cressi ones do not.

A friend of mines wife owns one and likes it. Personally I thought it looked a little flimsy may or may not be an issue in reality. I'm not sure what changes have been made since pre 2013 model if any. Most/many BCs have only one tank band it's not something to worry about. Biggest concern is the plastic buckle breaking, which they do, in which case you can always swap the cam band for a metal one.

I have the Cressi Air Travel. Other than the silk screen coming off, I have had zero problems with it. The weight pockets work very well. Everything is well made in typical Cressi style. It has a roll up mesh bag for storing things, but I rarely use it. I shoot photography and generally shove my diopter and neoprene lens cover in the wetsuit/skin for safe keeping.
