Transportation cost - Cozumel

Hi everyone,

I'll be travelling with a group to Cozumel in mid July and I have one quick question.

We'll be staying at Fiesta Americana, and we are wondering what the cost of a cab ride is from the hotel to the middle of town? I know about 4 yeras ago it was about $10 (USD) for 3-4 people, but wasn't sure how much it has apreciated.

My wife and I stayed at Fiesta Americana earlier this year.

A taxi cost us $6 U.S. each way when we went into town.

I found this chart of taxi fares helpful http://cozumelinsider.com/Trans I'm not sure if they are for 2 people and it's extra for additional persons, or if the fare is for as many people as the vehicle takes. There's also a board posted in the lobby of the Fiesta Americana with the rates to/from the hotel and popular destinations.

Stayed at FA in May. I found the most helpful person in the entire hotel is the Apple Vacations rep who hangs out in the hall just off the lobby (toward the water and slightly to the left). She was a wealth of information on things like taxi fares, etc.

It is $6US each way for 2 people and an extra dollar for each xtra person.
