Hi Guys

So just a quick question about trailing deco tanks, personally when i dive with multiple stages/deco tanks i mount them on left and right side. obvioussly alot of guys use all left config so my questio is this. when you start do you have the rich mix trailed, if so surely this tank os negetive so would hang down rather than float upwards valve down.

Please give me your opinions and answers.

also do you always use a leach to trail tanks?

in which course did you learn how to use a leache?

cheers

I learned to use a leash during an advanced (hypoxic) trimix course. Different training agencies have different names for similar courses that take you down to 90 or 100 meters. I'd never needed a leash before going that deep with that many different gases.

I put an Al 40 (5.5 liters) bottle of O2 on the leash going from the left hip D-ring over the back of my left thigh; the bottle wasn't very negative; the valve and reg hung downwards between my legs with the bottom of the cylinder pointing upwards.
