Nice write up Craig.

We were down a few weeks back and got a couple more folks hooked (cozoholics) We really enjoy the gang at scubamau as well. As well as Lahatch and as Jen mentioned the fish tacos at Mezcalitos west.

And also met a new friend (Jenlovestodive). Really suprised we had not met up before.

Sorry to hear about your accident Jen. Get better soon.

Well, need to start looking for plane tickets for a Thanksgiving trip.

Just returned from a trip to Cozumel - OK not just but took a little time to recover. Was my 4th in 2 years and I think I am now a Cozumelaholic which is probably a good thing to suffer from.

Was part of my annual mancation which my wonderful family give me each year as a means to decompress and chill.

Nice report, Craig. This "mancation" part caught my eye though. How do you swing such a thing? Did you have to trade for a "wo-mancation"? ;)

LOL...Yep unfortunately every mancation has its price although thankfully the internationally recognized conversion factor for wo-mancations is 2.5 to 1 and so a 7 day mancation only results in a 2.5 day wo-mancation (or with an adequate sprinkling of diamonds the wo-mancation can be eliminated). Diamonds are also a great way to deflect from the perceived price of all the gear I buy - which as you know is only a fraction of the actual price of the gear.Best bumper sticker I saw was: If I should die while diving dont let my wife sell my gear for what I told her I paid ... LOL

Not sure how the mancation happened though - I guess she just figured when I am away she has one less kid to take care off :D

Hey underachiever! So nice to meet you all. We all had so much fun. Really looking forward to getting back in the water, but for now, because of the head injury, I am land-bound for 6-8 weeks from the accident. There goes my July 6 birthday dive. However, I think i will most definitely have to celebrate it when I get the all clear. Heading back to the states, hopefully by Sunday or Monday.

I'm thankful, apart from a headful of stitches, it could have been much worse.

Looks like I will be back in a few weeks. The rental car company is not cooperating even though the driver paid for full insurance and paid a $1500 (US) deductible to them after the accident. I've got about $5000 in medical bills right now. Will keep ya posted.

Let me know the next time you guys head back!
!

Thanks for the review. I'm headed to Cozumel in December. Looks like I have a good idea who I should be contacting for my dives!

good review. thnx. always like to hear about new places which are good.
the next time you are at casa mx, you might want to try el dorado on calle 7 between 10 and 15. less than 5 min walk from your hotel. excellent seafood, reasonable prices, nice owner with beautiful children, lunch only. a favorite with the locals for takeout. you can eat in. if you want beer, stop at a convenience store on the way.
