I just had my tr-390 overhauled last week and just found out about the TR exchange program this week. How did they manage to find parts for it?

There are various small quantities of certain TR series parts still available, however, they are no longer maintained or inventoried and have been phased out. The last TR series regulator was manufactured over 10 years ago hence the upgrade program option. Your retailer/service center could also have sourced or had stocked the parts necessary for overhaul.
