topside conditions friday 08-26-11 ?

Gotta get out for a couple dives this weekend and since the jellys are still
present at the Blue Heron Bridge thought I would check out Venice. I found
a surf cam for sarasota and the surf did not look as bad as I had thought.
Just wondering if anyone got out friday and what the surf conditions were.
Don't mind the low viz just don't want to fight anything over a one to two
foot surf.

blowing hard nw 16-18 knts not going to to pretty wait for another weekend

Went by the beach this morning before work (1/2 day today) looked descent.
Had lunch and headed for the beach, it has gone to crap, winds are blowing out of the NW 15+, seas are 3' w/ chop and the water color is coffee brown.

Came home and did yard work

by boat should be good for weekend by land doable but limited vis. gotta love winds with East in it forecast stating SE as long as more East then south should be good.... was down on beach yesterday was blowing more South I will post report on Friday afternoon
