How far is Venice from Key Largo? We're going to be down there, first part of May.

drop by http://www.seakeywestexpress.com/default3.htm for details. i think you can get an onLine deal for $99.

if you were to drive it'd be like 6 hours and 330 miles.... the first 100 are gorgeous along the keys, but the last 200 are a snooeFest

I'll be down in Sarasota next week, I was looking at doing some diving for sharks teeth and anything else....please pm me your number and I'll give you a call today to see if we can't set something up.
Thanks

I've dived offshore of Venice Beach many times from the beach and a few times with charter to find megalodon teeth. Biggest was found right onshore 5" but that was lucky break. Best and most big teeth was with the megalodon charter dives.3.5" http://floridawestscuba.com/ They put you right on the black sand piles and its easier than swimming so far out. More time spent swimming by going from shore than hunting teeth but you should try both. Maybe one day just stay on beach or near shore and next go on the charter. I think its only $75 per person and well worth it. Reefguy I think knows the area and its always best to go with someone that knows the waters, currents and how to locate the teeth if going from shore. Have fun. E-mail me if you are in area and want another buddy that knows how to find them. I'd go on a charter or from shore more often but my wife/buddy doesn't go in low viz water. Looks like spots still open in May and June. They fill up fast. They put charter together during week if you have a group of 5 or more I think. If going from shore don't forget your dive flag float. Pete
