I was randomly surfing the internet and I came across the tiny nation of Tokelau. Is there any good scuba to be had here?

Pretty sure it is not a country but is a territory of New Zealand. I also think that there is no practical way to get there and there is no dive operation there. Probably has great diving, but you will need your own boat to get there.

Hello

I'm visiting Tokelau in September/October - boat from Samoa (Apia) - occasionally.

Scuba? - can't find anything - always travel with my own scuba gear (except cylinders/weights).

Experience tells me that even the most remote islands (except, perhaps, the extremely small) usually have cylinders/weights - even if there is no dive operation - someone has to dive to maintain jetties/moorings/etc.

The harbour (if there is one) is a good place to start asking - it's usually possible to hire/borrow a cylinder and some weights.

This will usually entail solo diving with out of date cylinders - depends how adventurous/crazy you feel.

Hope that helps
