Gabrielle,

If you are the same Gabrielle who recently attended a Tech Seminar down in South Padre and met a guy named Bill there, then you might want to try clicking the link on my signature line and posting to that board as well. It's a much more tech oriented community and you're more likely to find dive buddies for the type of diving you're interested in.

Regards,

John

Walter:
Define "west Florida."

I live in SW Florida. Tampa area is central west. Panhandle is NW. To what area do you refer?

Walter,

If the poster is who I believe it to be, they are referring to the panhandle area, specifically the Fort Walton area.

Wonderful, it's a great area, but I suspect he didn't know he wasn't being specific enough. Driving from one part of "west" Florida to another can take 10 - 12 hours.

Hi Jhon,
yeah I am the same Gabriele of souh padre!
yes, I met Bill down there, we have some friendly and interesting conversation about rebreathers and technical diving.
Thank you very much for your message and for your link .
For sure I will go there and post my message.
It s not easy to find a good dive buddy, expecially if you are in a foreign country...

I read another mail from you, you told me that sometimes you come to Florida for scuba diving.
I am looking forward to meet you there if you want and have some dives togheter!

Keep in touch...
if you have any other suggestions please let me know.
Thank you one more time,
take care

thank you guy for all your replies, I really appreciate it and I am glad about your help.
Well, for me will be the first time in Florida (I am actually in San Antonio TX, first time in USA).
I will move to Fort Walton Beach in May 7. I guess I could call this part South West Florida.
I know Florida is very big, however no problem about driving for long distance...
I like driving ... expecially if I need to do it to do a good dive!
I could handle 2/3 hours driving for a one-day trip; no problem to drive up to 10 hrs for a long week end of diving (friday to sunday night).
I hope to find someone to travel also... driving alone sometimes is boring...
Well, I hope someone is near my area and would like to dive togheter.
Thank you everybody,
take care
