Let me start by saying I know basically nothing about rebreathers.

I recently acquired a Titan CCR backplate, harness and wing (sorry if I’m not using the right terminology for a rebreather system).
As the result of a pressure test, I discovered a small pinhole in the bladder.

So, two questions:

  • Does anyone know of a source for a replacement bladder? Or a substitute/alternative? From what I can tell, Titan is no longer in business and hasn't been for a while. I believe the bladder/wing is rated at 55lbs. lift.
  • I picked this up to use as a ‘regular’ BPW. My AL80 tank fits right between the two raised…spines?(mount points for the oxygen and diluent cylinders)...where the scrubber canister would mount. Is my assumption that this will function as a BPW correct? Is there anything I’m missing? The plate is aluminum, if that is relevant.

Apologies if there is a better place to have posted this. If this is better asked a different place, please let me know!

Thank you for any help.

No. No. No. and no.

Do yourself a favor and buy a backplate, wing, and STA if you are wanting to dive a single tank. Don’t convert random stuff.

Mate did you ever patch a hole in a water bed with gaffer tape
