Finished my rescue course over the space of last weeekend. Brilliant course but was completely shattered afterwards, hard work but rewarding and really enjoyed it. Made me wonder what is the most tired you have been after a dive and for what particular reason?

Climbing back up the hill in Palos Verde, CA.

hey well done on the rescue course Mogwai..

the most tired I've ever been post dive was when I was taking too many sudafed (ear prob's), they're not meant to be drowsy and I shouldn't have been using them to dive anyway but I ended up completely knackered and used to fall asleep in the car on the way back (I was a passenger at the time!!)

I was probably the most tired when I didn't really did not know what I was doing and ended up working way to hard on most dives and buuilding up tons of CO2, not doing saftey stops has also given me some "unearned" fatigue as well.

Here's my log book entry from one of my rescue class dives...

Im tired before every dive. Typically due to early starts i get 60 minutes of sleep the night before :(

We did 36 nice dives in 8 days on vacation 2 years ago.
After a few days we were too burnt to go out to eat at the end of the day so it was more or less...Dive order room service and watch most of a movie then we'd wake up and do it again.
It taught us that as long as you have good diving,AC, food and a TV the hotel room doesn't have to cost a million bucks.

I can manage quite happily without the AC and TV too :)

The most pooped I've been after a dive was after filling in for a guy on the day shift, doing 3 - 12 hour shifts, with over 30 hours of bottom time. I took my hat off & sat down leaning up against a welder (running) & was lulled to sleep by the warmth & noise.
