I just bought a Oly fe-280, for an upcoming trip to Key Largo, I don't know if i'm gonna have time to use it at the lake before we go, so can you pro's give me some tips on how to set it up, and what i should do to get some decenct pics.

And will a xD-Picture Card from Fuji Film work just as well with an oly camera, or do i just need to stick to the oly xd cards.

Thanks

One more question, about how long will i get out of a batter, or do i need to get a spare one. And does anybody have any experience with the battery kits on ebay or amazon, that are not OLY built.

I have two batteries for my Fe-230, they will last about two dives each with the flash, about 100 shots. The batteries take about 5 hours to charge.

As for shooting photos, I always use Underwater 1 with fill flash for day, and auto for night. I toggle the macro mode on and off depending on the shot I am taking. Underwater 2 does not give a flash or macro option, so I don't use it. Underwater 3 is macro with extreme zoom, so it is hard to get the proper focal length without movement. You can get good video, but I would recommend using a good dive light or two (with DB's help), especially at night. You can get about 50 min of video on a 2 gig card.
