After spending ALLOT of time on SB.
I never saw a post about the basic tips and tricks.
But when you go diving you see allot of divers doing something way smarter then you did.
So does anyone have some tips and tricks.

Diluted liquid soap or hair conditioner in a spray bottle to lube wetsuits. All my wetsuits are skin-in but improves Nylon-2 suits, especially when wet. Same mix in a bucket on the boat for dunking drysuit wrist seals before donning and doffing.

Well I have a pickup truck so I can do this. I load a large cooler in the back of my truck bed and fill it full of fresh water. After diving I put my tank (air on), BC and reg in the cooler so it gets about an hour rinse on the ride home. By the time I'm home my gear is already clean.

I THINK there was a very lengthy thread on this a while back. I'm not usually successful doing a search on SB, but you may want to try. It's possible it was on a different forum, but I don't think so.

When diving wet, I wear a Lycra skin. It helps my wrt suit slide on wet or dry. Plus, it gives me sun screen between dives if I don't want to wear a dripping wet suit on the boat. The Lycra dries quickly and is 50 SPF.

Synthetic/sports socks. Cushions, adds extra insulation and makes it easier to get boots on and off.

It's ok, in my experience, to wash wetsuit in washing machine on gentle then spin on high. But do not put in drier.

Beanie hood or scap cap to protect long hair.

After gearing up, take 3 breaths off your reg while you watch SPG. If needle drops, air is off!
